Bryant Park

One thing that is so great about working in the city is I get to walk through Bryant Park everyday. Here is the delightful bit of scenery I captured on Monday morning. Looks like Spring is finally here!

Another great benefit to working in Bryant Park is the access to fashion. Today, there was a Michael Kors sample sale in our office building, so naturally my co-worker and I had to take an early morning "break." We arrived to the Michael Kors office conveniently located on the 20th floor (we're on 15), and walked down a museum-like hall full of gorgeous leather bags on display. The last room to the left was where the chaos ensued. Stacked heels, leather boots, and handbags strewn about everywhere and large cardboard boxes full to the brim of mostly size 6 stilettos and wedges. Girls were toting around 4-5 pairs of shoes close to their chest and one lady even had a box full of heels which I thought was part of the sale (nope, all 20 were hers!) It was power shopping madness and I loved experiencing every minute of it. But surprisingly, I did not buy a thing. Mainly because everything was picked over; no trusty MK clutches, heels or leather hangbags for me :( Perhaps I will find something at the next sale, which by the way, is next week at Elie Tahari on the 14th floor! Marking the calendars this time...
