If these walls could talk...
Reading Patti Smith's memoir Just Kids, lead me to take a train on my lunch break and explore the Chelsea hotel on 23rd St. Here are a few snaps.
Hard to imagine that this place was a beacon of creativity and excess - especially when the Olive Garden and Best Buy is like a block away. I wonder how Jack and Jimi would feel about this.

Morning snow + Dottie
Another 6 to 10 inches of snow dumped in the city overnight. It's okay because it makes the city look so pretty and clean (for once!) Pictured here is Dottie, admiring the snow from the inside of our cozy and warm 6th floor apartment.
