New York Fashion Week F/W 2010

One of the coolest NYC experiences I've EVER had was attending the ANNA SUI show at New York Fashion Week. The show was held last Wednesday in Bryant Park's iconic white tents and it was AMAZING. The lights, the cameras, the energy, the really good music, the celebs in the front row, and all the amazing clothes coming down the runways on Karen Elson, Agyness Deyn, and Sasha Pivovarova -- all the beautiful faces I see in Harper's and Vogue. It was a dream! And Anna Sui is truly a legendary designer; she's like a more tame version of Betsey Johnson and she's been around for ages. I remember when MTV's House of Style did a segment on her with Amber Valleta and Shalom Harlow as hosts. Gosh, I can't believe that I still remember that! So indeed, seeing her Fall/Winter 2010 collection was a dream come true. And it was my first and last show in Bryant Park. Sadly, they'll be moving the shows (after 18 years!) to Lincoln Center in the Fall. So, I guess I got really lucky to see this. Hopefully I'll get to see the very first New York Fashion Week at its new location. Fingers crossed!
