Freeport, Portland, Orchard Beach, Maine

Nothing like fresh lobster for $3.99 per lb. What? That's almost as cheap as ground chuck. Well, I guess you could say we were lucky since the lobster wars were going on. Anyway, this was probably one of the most refreshing parts of our trip to New England. So many similarities to the great Northwest too. Fresh air, green green trees, and seaports. I'd like to come here more often. Next time I want to catch my dinner and see some lighthouses. This was a nice intro though...

Boston

Boston is lovely! We took a Bolt Bus from midtown 34th St. and got there in about 4 hours. Stayed for a few days and saw a bunch of historical sites, including the Bunker Hill monument, various old parts of Cambridge, downtown Boston, the Harvard campus, the State House, little Italy, Chinatown etc. We took a boat ride along the river and enjoyed the scenery. Definitely going back some day...

Coney and Brighton with the 'rents

And here we are again in Coney Island, this time with the parents in my full on carnivalesque leopard print getup. We hung out and took loads of photos on the boardwalk and made a stop over in Brighton Beach for some stuffed cabbage and piroshki action at M&I foods. Pictured at the bottom, my folks getting a slice of something really rich and sweet (after we had stuffed ourselves silly with delicious Russian food).

Hamptons

Wow, it's been a while... say 3 months, no? Well, I suppose it's time to put a few pics up on the old blog. With that said, here are just a few snaps from our trip to the Hamptons... more to come ; )
